Uzbekistan e-Visa for Indians: The Complete 2026 Guide
Updated 11 July 2026 · 8 min read · By the VisaForUzbekistan team
Uzbekistan has quickly become one of the most exciting destinations for Indian travellers — the turquoise domes of Samarkand, the old city of Bukhara, plov and bazaars, direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai, and prices that make Europe look expensive. More than 80,000 Indians visited in 2025, and the number keeps climbing. The only paperwork standing between you and Tashkent is the e-visa, and this guide covers the entire process from start to finish.
Do Indian citizens need a visa for Uzbekistan?
Yes. Indian passport holders are not on Uzbekistan’s visa-free list, so you must hold an approved e-visa before you board your flight. The good news: the process is fully electronic. There is no embassy visit, no biometrics appointment and no need to send your passport anywhere. You apply online, and the visa arrives as a PDF by email.
The e-visa at a glance
- Type: electronic visa (e-visa), issued as a PDF you print and carry
- Stay: up to 30 days per entry for tourism
- Government fee: US$20 for single entry; double- and multiple-entry options cost more
- Processing: typically 2–3 working days
- Passport requirement: valid well beyond your trip — as a rule of thumb, at least six months from arrival keeps you safely inside every check
Documents you need
Only two items: a clear scan or photo of your passport’s information page, and a recent passport-style photograph on a plain light background. That’s it — no bank statements, no invitation letter, no flight tickets are required for the tourist e-visa. The catch is that both items are checked strictly, and small mistakes are the number-one reason applications get refused or delayed. Your name must be entered exactly as the machine-readable line of your passport spells it, and the photo must meet the official specifications (see our photo requirements guide).
Short on time?
We verify, submit and track your Uzbekistan e-visa from a fixed ₹4,399 all-in — government fee included. Start your application or message us on WhatsApp.
How the application works, step by step
1. Fill in the online form
The application collects your personal details, passport data, travel dates and point of entry. Every field must match your passport exactly — a single transposed letter in your surname can invalidate the visa at the airport.
2. Upload your photo and passport page
Uploads are validated for size, format and background. Blurry phone photos with shadows are the most common rejection trigger we see.
3. Pay the government fee
The government fee is paid online by card in a foreign-currency transaction. Indian cards frequently fail here because international online transactions are switched off by default. When we handle your application, we pay the fee for you, so this problem disappears entirely.
4. Wait for processing and receive your PDF
Approval normally lands in 2–3 working days. Print at least one copy of the PDF and carry it with your passport; airlines check it at check-in in India and border officers check it again in Uzbekistan.
Arrival in Uzbekistan
Immigration for Indian tourists is straightforward: present your passport and printed e-visa. Keep the registration slips your hotels give you — accommodation registration is a legal requirement in Uzbekistan, and you may be asked for the slips when departing. If you stay in licensed hotels and guesthouses, they handle it automatically.
Why travellers use our service
People choose our service for three reasons: we enter your details exactly as your passport spells them and verify your photo before anything is submitted, we pay the government fee so your card never gets declined, and you have a human on WhatsApp from payment until the PDF is in your hand. One fixed all-in price per traveller — ₹4,399 single entry, ₹5,699 double, ₹6,999 multiple — government fee included.
